USF’s online graduate programs rank among the nation’s best

The University of South Florida delivers some of the best online graduate programsin the country, according to new rankings released today by U.S. News and World Report(U.S. News). Five of USF’s online programs rank in the top 100, including three programsin the top 50 and one in the top 15.

USF’s highest-ranked programs are Computer Information Technology at No. 14, Engineeringat No. 30 and the online MBA program in the Muma College of Business at No. 31. Since2019, USF’s online MBA program has risen significantly from No. 82 to No. 31.U.S.News also ranks the online MBA program No. 45 for veterans.

USF continues to expand its broad array of fully online programs, which combine relevantcurriculum with the flexibility to meet the unique demands of graduate students, includingmany working professionals.

“Continuing to grow and enhance our online programs is a key part of the Universityof South Florida’s mission to provide students with access to a world-class educationand help meet the workforce needs of our state,” USF President Rhea Law said.“Theserankings reflect USF’s commitment to excellence and serve as a testament to the hardwork of our faculty and staff who develop and deliver high-quality online courses.”

The U.S. News methodology for graduate online programs considers factors such as graduationand retention rates, admission requirements, peer reputation, faculty credentials,technology infrastructure and student support services. The weight of each categoryvaries from program to program.

In September, U.S. News ranked USF as America’s fastest-rising university on its list of best colleges.USF currently ranks No. 46 among public universities,and over the past 10 years no university in the country has climbed higher in therankings than USF.
